Festival attendees are tempted by a diverse Asian and Asian American cuisine. Vendors and food trucks feature small and large plates, appetizers, finger foods, beverages, and desserts. Popular favorites range from traditional foods such as savory and spicy noodles to contemporary cuisine such as skewered appetizers that appeal to a wide range of tastes. Dishes from Japan, China, Korea, Indonesia, the Philippines, Polynesian islands, India, and the Middle East have been represented.
Festival attendees report that watching Asian and Asian American cultural performances such as dance and music, are among their favorite event activities. The festival seeks performers representing traditional, folk, and contemporary performing art forms. Local, regional, national, and international artists and performing arts groups are encouraged to submit an application. The festival features performers of all ages and showcases both professional, amateur, and emerging artists.
Martial Arts academies and schools are encouraged to showcase their art form at the festival. Not only do martial arts serve to educate the public about each academy’s program, but also to show the health and wellness benefits of learning martial arts.
