Asian Celebration partners with the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art
The Oregon Asian Celebration partners with the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art (JSMA) to showcase beautiful works of art – paintings, sculptures, and multi-media artwork by local artists. Visitors to the museum located on the University of Oregon campus will find Chinese brush painting, Indonesian batik, Japanese fiber art, painted gourds, sculptures, Chinese paper cuts, multi-media art, contemporary art, and more.
The artwork is curated by the JSMA staff and exhibited for several weeks before the Oregon Asian Celebration. A free public reception to view the artwork and meet local artists is held to kick off the Oregon Asian Celebration art exhibit.
The Asian Council of Oregon is grateful to partner with the JSMA for graciously showcasing local talent and their artwork, and as a way for the public to attend at their convenience during the exhibition run dates.
