Celebrating 40 Years with Event Posters
This year’s Heritage Exhibit features 40 consecutive years of posters created to promote the Oregon Asian Celebration. Over the festival’s history, these beautiful themed posters were designed by local artists who were involved with the festival in various ways. Among them were long-time volunteer Kenji Kobayashi, Chinese brush painting instructor and art show participant Kathy Hoy, anime artist Marianne Walker, illustrators Cindy Lee and Barbara Townsend, and taiko drummer Melody Howe.
While these artists provided the stunning themed artwork, we also extend our appreciation to the talented production designers who brought these posters to life over the years. We thank Steven Mueller, who served as our production designer for decades, and Jesse Springer, who recently joined our team, for transforming artists’ designs into the final posters you will see at the exhibit.
Stop by the Heritage Exhibit booth to view 40 years of Oregon Asian Celebration posters and celebrate the legacy of art and community they represent!

Go Green. Reduce Waste
The Asian Celebration is taking a big step toward becoming a zero-waste event, and our community gets to be part of it.
We’re partnering with Lane County’s Sustainable Event Services program so (participating) food vendors can serve meals on reusable dishware instead of single-use plastics and paper dishes.
After you enjoy your food, please return your reusable dishware to the bussing/drop-off tent. It’s a small action that helps keep piles of event waste out of the landfill and supports a cleaner, more sustainable celebration for everyone.
Eat well. Celebrate together. Return your dishware at the drop-off tent.
