Scavenger Hunt Activity/prize for completion– On 12 posted “Zodiac Animal” pages, each will host a clue: a piece of the mysterious phrase. Reveal the answer to the Zodiac animal puzzle and get a prize!  Pick up and return your completed pages to the Asian Council Information Booth for a special prize.

Adventure! Children’s Museum booth/activities

Origami with Tomo Tsurumi  Learn the art of Origami paper folding. Create beautiful creatures and impress your family and friends.

Kumoricon – Make custom cat ears! Kumoricon, the Portland area Japanese culture and anime convention will be leading free crafting sessions using faux fur, felt, and hot glue to make your own custom cat ears. Volunteers will guide children of all ages through this fun activity. While you are there, you can learn about the largest anime convention in Oregon that is happening November 17-19 at the Oregon Convention Center.

Chinese Go game – Adults and youth are invited! Learn to play. Presented by the Eugene Go Club

Children’s painting activity – presented by Northwest Community Credit Union – Let your inner creativity shine! Visit our booth and have fun with this exciting painting activity.

The Oregon Asian Celebration is produced by the Asian American Council of Oregon, whose founders in 1986, started the festival and developed this mission statement: 

Our mission is to create opportunities, which foster friendships and harmonious relations among all people by presenting events and activities that will stimulate a better understanding of Asian and Asian-American cultural heritage. Participation is open to anyone.
