EUGENE, OR – Celebrate Valentines weekend by taking your loved ones to Asia without leaving the country! Experience the sights and sounds of Asia at the 30th Annual Oregon Asian Celebration February 14 and 15 at the Lane Events Center in Eugene.
Enjoy Asian culture through main stage performances of dance and music; exotic cuisine, martial arts, cooking, and crafts demonstrations; activities for youth, and a bustling marketplace featuring more than 75 vendors
This year’s theme “Celebrating 30 Years of Love and Diversity ” highlights a special weekend of activities to commemorate Valentine’s Day. Friends, family, and sweethearts can enjoy activities such as the “Canoodle-Noodle Eating Contest” and a photo session with backdrops of Asia. Take the kids to the Japanese Carnival or stroll through the marketplace for a Valentine’s Day trinket, and don’t forget to treat loved-ones to delicious Asian cuisine in the Asian Food Court of more than 20 vendors.
Doors open Saturday, February 14 at 10 a.m. with the Chinese Lion Dance followed by nonstop activities continuing throughout the day until 7:00 p.m., closing. Sunday also opens at 10:00 a.m. with the Chinese Lion Dance and the day’s festivities conclude at 6:00 p.m.
Pre-sale admission tickets are available for purchase at any Oregon Community Credit Union branch beginning January 26, or can be purchased at the door. Tickets are $6 for one day or $10 for two days. Children ages 12 and under are free.

The event is produced by the Eugene/Springfield Asian Council with sponsorship support from Oregon Community Credit union, University of Oregon, Kikkoman USA, McDonalds Restaurants, International Imagination Inc., and KVAL-TV.
The mission of the Eugene/Springfield Asian Council is to create opportunities that foster greater understanding of Asian and Asian American cultures by presenting special events and activities to promote friendship and harmonious relationships.
